Will this work and will it void warranty?
Will this work and will it void warranty?
I have about 7000 miles on my truck and have been very strict in what mods I do in regards to the factory warranty. I have heard of this:
http://www.rokktech.com/_mgxroot/page_10437.html
And I have read the posts about this Rokkteck crankshaft sensor but have not seen a post that addresses this.
Will this void my warranty since I'm sure the computer will record a +2 degree change in the timing and will be detected if pulled up? OR---Does the Dodge specs specify + or - 2 degrees in which case it would be OK (within spec).
If its safe as far as Dodge warranty concerns, it will be a mod that I would do. Big " if " though

Thanks MikeyB,
I sent them my number to contact me. If the Sensor will do the same thing, I feel a little more comfortable putting it on rather than pulling the ring off and cutting it out, etc...and fighting with the bolts, etc.
Sounds like I can just keep my stock sensor, and put it back on if I ever go to a box that adjusts timing/duration etc....in the future. Am I right? Then it wouldn't over advance the timing and cause problems.

Thanks again MikeyB,
I will order one as soon as they call me. Be nice if they had a phone number on their website for me to call. If they did, I didn't see it.
