Whoops with less than 6k miles..

Well had to take the truck to the dealership today. Turns out that I took a bump or two on the rough west texas oil lease roads a bit too harshly. Bent the front axle and have 2 leaky axle seals.....

...thank God I used to work there and the service manager is going to cover it under warranty!!

Too bad it will be there for a week or so!

Got a Megacab laramie from our yard to help ease the pain...but it isn't like mine...

C'mon, you weren't thrashing the company truck, were you?

May I suggest you make the best investment in axle straighness there is:

Well I wasn't trying to mess it up, but I was in a hurry and didn't pay attention to that big bad cattle guard!

Now I am in a megacab with no navigation, no DVD, and no MP3 decoding on the deck..... Maybe they can get to it sooner....

That *IS* funny!

Maybe they're just cheap axles??

I'll keep my almost-real Danas, thank you very much.

I'm not on TDR until I get back from HI, so I'm not seeing all the good stuff....

Maybe we need to discuss axle trusses??

Well in the oilfield, most of the cattle guards have 2-3 foot drops right after tham and if you are clipping along at 70+ with the dropoff it can kiss your axles goodbye...

Dear old Dad is getting the ride, and he's picking up a bunch of my stuff and storing it too.

I'll probably detune it a bit, cause he may not be used to Smarty on 9

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I can see this thread being threadnapped and posted on the f--- and g- sites much the same way their troubles are threadnapped and posted here. Oh well. Bright side is that the GM would have broke at around 100 miles and the ford...maybe 250.
