What color is our coolant?

I going to repost this here 'cause I screwed up before and put it in the '07.5+ section. So, here goes:

'Cause I think I have a slight leak. I found a motorcycle track on my way home last night and decided to try out the new springs, and when I got home I noticed my passenger side control arms had drips of fluid on them. It's was pink in color and did not have an oily feel. Could this be coolant? I didn't get a chance to track down where it was coming from, but it is definately on the passenger side, and seems to be from the top half on the engine. What do you guys think?

You are a hard man to catch up with Pauly, stop moving your thread around . Did you taste it? Just kidding don't do that. Our coolant is pink. Check to see if you have coolant on the lid of your air cleaner box. I had a leak where the reservoir tube goes into the radiator, no clamp . Just another corner for DC to cut. This happened to me after I put my AFE drop in filter. I must have bumped the factory "seal" loose and it started leaking. I put on a hose clamp and problem solved.

I'm slick as grease, baby!

No clamp - par for the course with automakers these days. I'll check that. Thanks, Dave.

Other folks had the same leak as I did. I did a search on this and found others had leaks elsewhere, like hose clamps not being tight enough. So check those too. Also if your truck has the block heater check there for tightness. Good luck and I hope it is an easy fix like mine.

Might be because we have identical trucks right down to the color, except for after market accessories of course , although DC might think it was the aftermarket accessories that caused the leak and that is not covered under your warrenty sir .

I had both leaks at one time or another. The one at the rear of the engine rh side, was a clamp not tight enough and leak #2 was the hose goig to the ad right but the air box, didnt have any clamp. It wont kill you if you absoultly had to tast the tip of your finger, if its sweet its colant. I wouldnt make it a habit or actually drink it.
