I put a new NAPA pump on at 60k. Seemes to be high quality, but I only have 22K on it so far. That being said, if OE only lasted 60, I don't think it matters.

I hear a lot of guys going with Napa.

It's a long shot... how many miles on your truck? Dodge will replace it if you're under 100k. There will be a $100 deductable.

but needs to be done as its leaking pretty bad.Dont want to be left stranded.

Yeah, I didn't think so.

It's pretty easy to do. Let us know if you have any questions.

I put the NAPA pump on about 7k miles ago back in June. So far it's been fine and at only $50 I'm not really going to complain that much if it goes out. Like Moparman said, if the stockers only last 50 - 60, why spend 100 - 200 on a Cummins or Mopar pump. My outlook was a water pump is a simple device that is fairly hard to screw up, so I just went for what I thought was best at the lowest price.

Since the OP has been posting this up on all the major forums, figure I will reply to this one too.

My thoughts exactly. Seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some of the pumps last as low as 20,000 miles and others last 200,000 miles.

Our water pump is more basic than basic. I got mine for $46 out the door for a brand new (not rebuilt) from Advance Auto. 9000 miles on it already and working like a champ.

I have replace seals in 2 OEM pumps over the last 6k miles. What a joke, last week just put Napa pump on, I hope it does the trick.
