Truk failed to start again -35 celcius?

2nd time in a week truck failed to start. last time i drained fuel filter canister and filled it halfway with diesel antigel and put charger on it. it then started. this time same temperature (-35 C) and no go again. it was plugged in for 9hours and even the cylinder head feels warm.it cranks a while but slower (obviously from cold). i put charger on again (10 amp).ill try it later.

batteries are still factory from 04. maybe its time to get rid of them. i have no access to a battery tester but illl leave it on a 2 amp charge all day.

It sounds like you have fuel gelling issues. Where are you and where do you get your fuel? I fired mine up at -35 yesterday, plugged in and she started no problems...

Dump a couple of gallons of kerosene or 911 in your tank and run truck for 1/2 hour to get it all into the fuel system. You don't have winter blended diesel, it will gel up again as soon as you get on a highway. Where are you located ?

Holy Cow, you are having a heck of a time keeping it from gelling. You may need to buy your fuel somewhere else or run an antigel additive.

my step dads 03 just did the same thing but twice on the same tank of fuel.the first time he coaxed the truck home and threw in a bottle of diesel melt and it cleared up,but going into town yesterday the truck just up and quit on the side of the highway in -39deg celcius weather.this time it took diesel melt and a new fuel filter to get her going again.at that temp a person could set a record for the fastest fuel filter changeout, especially when the big trucks go by and the wind chill is -some gosh awful temp.
