Transmission problem
Transmission problem
The other day my truck decided like it wanted to stick in gear and keep pulling forward as I tried to brake. If I hit the tow on/off switch it would finally down shift. I took it to a transmission shop and they said it didn't throw any codes, but after driving it around it did the same thing. The guy said it is most likely an electrical problem, and they will have to drop the pan to determine exactly whats wrong. Does anyone have any experience with this problem, and know what I may be looking at as far as repairs? The truck is an stock 05 QC 4wd with 48000 miles. The mechanic said he has seen this problem many times, and it depends on how much damage has been done already.
sounds to me like the clutches are junk....take it to a dealer...they know best and can get the parts unless you want to upgrade to aftermarket parts.... have you had it since new?? if so when was the last time the fluid was changed??

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Does it upshift normally?? If this is correct, the governor pressure solenoid is sticking open for high gov pressure. Should be less than .5 psi at stop. Can be measured with gauge per FSM.
