Trans Q's

For those of you with rebuilt/built trans, does your 48re shift differently when it is hot or cold? Also, could you say that it shifts the same every time, or does it do funky things every once in a while.
The reason I am asking is this: When I first picked up my built tranny, from a local diesel shop, it seems like it shifted the same all the time. Now, it seems like it shifts much harder when hot (warm) than when cold. Also, under very light throttle, the trans will shift from 2-3 almost instantly. So, the trans will go 1-2 then almost 2-3 instantly, giving it the impression of a 1-3 shift. Even after 5k miles, it seems like the trans does not shift as firm as it use to!

Thanks

Mine will shift the same until the shift solenoid gets stopped up or not working correctly. Then I experience the same symptoms. Has happened to mine a couple of times over the last couple years. I take it to the builder and he pulls the solenoid and either cleans or replaces with a rebuilt one.
