Is there a fuel filter that is better than stock?
i have been using the mopar fuel filter from the dealer, i want to know if there is a better filter out there.

Since this is posted in the 3rd gen forum I'am assuming yours is a 3rd gen truck. Baldwin Fuel filter 7977 is a direct replacement and is 5 micron vs dodge or fleetguard 10 and 7 micron filters.

Is 5 micron the smallest that would fit in the stock cannister?
Right now I dont want to add another filter setup to the truck is why Im asking.

Yes, 5 micron is the smallest you can get for the stock canister.
However I will say the Glacier 2 micron setup is very easy to install and is fairly cheap for the extra protection.

Yes the 5 micron is the smallest you can go that fits in the stock location it is Baldwin 7977. You can get them online at www.adiesel.com these is where I get mine.
