Hw to find TDC on a 2003 24V HO?

Hi All,

Trying to adjust my valves, but can't fina TDC indicator. This is a 2003 HO engine, and none of the adjustment instructions I have looked at provide pictures that correspond to this motor. Any 3G folks out there have an explaination/pictures?

I do not have a breather cover, or fill tube to remove. I am suprised at how poor the visibility is on this truck.

Any help is appreciated!

Bill

The crank pulley has the TDC mark on it. The pulley gets dirty, so you while probably have to clean/sand the pulley to show the mark that is stamped in it. When the mark is at the top of the rotation, you are at TDC.

Sbishop,

Thank you for the information! I found the mark. One other question, when I rotate the motor after the first series of valves - per manual - do I rotate the crank a full 360 degrees, or 180?

Thank you for the support!
