Steering is messed up

I slid into a curb farely hard yesterday because of some black ice. Had everything realigned and tie rod replaced but my truck keeps pulling to the right and left when i turn. I know the power steering pump is still working. and the only thing i can think of is the power steering gear box. Has anybody had this happen to them and what website can i go to to get the cheapest part so i can to replace it. Any other idea to what else it could be please let me know.

So the steering is sticky and won't return to center after you turn?

If so, it could be the gear, but I would be looking at the ball joints on the side that took the hit.

Did you get an alignment printout? SAI reading would tell ya if something is bent.

Yes its sticky when i steer and the steering wheel is trying to to return to its normal location. I have check all ball joints and everything seems to be in working order. so im assuming its the gear box

I have seen a couple of cases where the steering damper became bent from an impact, and caused the same sort of feeling. It will give a binding sensation as it tries to compress past the bent spot on the piston. You might be able to see it when the damper is fully extended, or remove it temporarily to see if the problem goes away.

Pretty easy to pop the tie rods off and check for what is binding.

Everything is suspect at this point.

What did your alignment tech think?

Check the steering stabilizer; you may have bent the shaft.
