Messed Up Steering

To make a long story short i was hauling firewood out of the woods last winter and on the last trip out i was going down a power line trail at about 25mph and the left front wheel broke through a iced over mud hole and smashed through the ice. I made it out of the hole and got back to pavement. This is when i noticed the steering wheel is upside down. The truck drives fairly straight with no noticeable pulls. My problem besides from the wheel being upside down is the truck doesnt turn nearly as sharp to the left as it does to the right. Its so bad that i have to be selective on which spots i park in at stores and cant go through drive throughs. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

You will find left wheel is behind right. Truck frame shop is best choice for diagnois and repair.

my guess is you just pulled the tie rod adjuster through the coupling. Id bring it in for an alignment and if its stripped just replace it and possibly the tie rod end. Do a search for the recommended alignment specs on the board
If theres anything bent on the frame it would show up in the control arm mounts Id think. May want to inspect the control arms also theyre pretty flimsy. Thuren fabrication has some nice ones, BTW.

That was my theory that the adjuster wasnt tight to start with and the hard enough force of breaking through the ice was enough to spin it. I did notice however that where my control arms mount the the axle the tabs seem a little bent. If anyone has pictures of what a non messed up dana 60 front control arm mounts look like i would appreicate that. Thanks again.

Thank you Kawi600 i loosened the clamp on the tierod and used a pipe wrench to spin it. Once spun far enough that i could see the opening i saw that both the tierods were spun from the impact that they were touching and thats why the wheel was upside down. Thank you all for the needed help
