Squealing noise.. speed related.. help needed

Hey guys. Just noticed as I backed down my driveway a squealing noise. Sounds like rubber against rubber or something like that. Hard to describe. So I went forward and same noise, "reh, reh, reh, reh, reh"... backed her up and same thing. Don't think it's engine related. Got under truck and tires look good. This just happened out of nowhere. Driveshaft U-joint or axle???
Truck is in sig with 53,000 miles on her. Faster I go the quicker it sounds. What do I check first and HOW?

Thanks

It sure sounds like u-joints but can't tell if it's front or rear drive shaft. Tough to figure it out by yourself...

Sounds like a U-joint to me too. Jack it up and turn the drive train by hand.

Pull the front driveshaft off and go for a ride, that'll isolate it front to rear.

After that, it doesn't matter which Ujoint is bad, 'cause it's in your best interest to replace both if you have the driveshaft out. Suppose it could be the carrier bearing on the rear driveshaft too if your truck has one.

That is the classic rear ujoint gone bad. Most likely the one at the axle. Mine did the same thing, only squeeked in reverse. Is this the stock one? Your mods are impressive.
