Squealing noise somewhere in drivetrain!
My truck has developed a squealing noise. It sounds like it is coming from the serpentine belt, but the noise goes away when I ride the clutch. I would think it is the throwout bearing, but my limited experience with manual transmission hydraulic actuated clutches makes me think the noise would start when I ride the clutch and lessen with no pressure on the pedal.
Has anyone encountered similar noise?
Thanks in advance for any help

I had a squealing noise at the serpintine belt and it would come and go. Found out that it was the belt tensioner. I took it apart and put some grease and a small squirt of oil on the pully and no more noise. But with yours going away when you ride the clutch I don't know if that is the problem

I am having what I thought was a belt squeal but my buddy doesnt think so. It starts when I start the engine in the morning and gradually lessens over about 45 minutes. I looked at the water pump and see no signs of rust. Doesnt act like an alternator squeal. Belt looks good. It has a new belt tensioner on it. Anyone else have any ideas?
