Seafoam additive - the good, bad and ugly?
Hi there,
Any comments out there on the fuel additive "Seafoam"? I have been using Lucas, about every 4th tank - but recently came across more and more folks who have been using Seafoam in their diesels.
Thanks,
-graham

Wouldn't use it. There are some VERY wise folks here that have commented on the isopropyl in it and what it does in the crd engines. Do a search on seafoam and you'll have plenty of info. These boy's know their business here. With plenty of good products designed for crd use, why experiment on a very expensive fuel delivery system in these trucks.

Roger that. I have been using Lucas and have no plans to change that (other than maybe going to every other tank opposed to the 4th or 5th tank).
Thanks,
