How hard is is it to swap when it does fail? I just rolled over 100K and was thinking about getting a spare(i like the price of the one from Genos, a lot less then I was thinking), I know I could do it at the house when I have the time Im just wondering if its something that could be done on the side of the road if it does suddenly go out (granted I carry tools with me)

It's not tough to replace. Just kind of in an awkward spot on the back of the FF canister. Now that your over 100K and outside the warantee, I'd just start saving up for a Walbro from Glacier Diesel or if you have the extra money to spend, an Air Dog or FASS...

Yep... if mine was out of waranty I'd have an Air Dog or FASS.

Well, I spoke too soon. Getting signals of a weakening lift pump. Ordered a Raptor 100 from the DTR store and hopefully will install the pump this weekend.

I have 83k on stock pump.
Truck just started to act funny. Evey once in a while the engine would just skip a beat....kinda weird. Very similar to taking spark away from a gas engine. When this happens I blow a cloud of black smoke out the back. Not too big but noticeable. My guess is its the pump but we'll see.

I also have 83k miles and mine sometimes has a slight miss when at idle.

89000 on mine, although I just had my high pressure pump replaced because that failed. I'm thinking of changing over to the air dog or something similar because I think the fuel pump might be the underling cause of the pump failure

I put a Raptor 100 pump on mine at around 92k and am at 99k right now. My stocker hadn't quit but I was getting paranoid, honestly. I installed the Raptor in a couple of hours on a Sunday and I was very impressed with the ease of installation as well as the quality. Its a pretty good product and works great.
