Oil in radiator

My dad has a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 that has oil in the radiator. Does anyone know what can cause this or how he would fix it?

Are you 100% sure? I ask because a lot of people mistake the HOAT coolant for oil when they have a coolant leak.

He is pretty sure it is engine oil because the oil is black, but he can't be 100% sure. He is at a loss. It is an 05 with almost 900,000 miles. He hauls travel trailers for a living and this issue has put a stop to him using the truck.

900,000?? WOW!!

Anyway... If it is black it is most likely engine oil. Depending on what exactly is letting it get to the coolant it will not be a quick or cheap fix.

Could it be possible for the oil cooler to let go and let the two mix?
