Oil in the Radiator!?!

I took my radiator to the local radiator shop to have it "rodded" out because my truck would overheat with a load over 10K if I stayed in it hard. Overheat to others may be different, but mine was to the 3rd mark on the factory heat gauge. I just picked it up, and he said the front veins seemed to have what looked to be oil or grease in them. I am not getting water in my oil for sure, so I am puzzled. Maybe a problem a previous owner fixed? Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks!

Could just be some gunk/dirt that has got in there over the years. if the antifreeze looked fine i wouldn't worry about it

Clean your over flow bottle spotless! and then just keep and i on it for oil floating in the top,.......if oil or a black film starts to show up you have a "leaky" coolent over oil cooler problem. this cooler is bolted to the bock, and is the plate, that your oil filter spins on!

Mine developed this problem allso when i got it real hot, one time, pulling up a hill last year. I now that's when i hurnt it but it was several week later when i notiseed this bad oil leak under the right front of my motor.
razed the hood and found oil comming out of the coolant bottle

Thank ya'll, I cleaned the overflow bottle out, and so far so good. I have put a couple hundred miles on the beast and no oil. I am now thinking it was just buildup from over the years.....
