I do have an extended warranty but not sure which one. So that would also include a loaner for work during the basic 3/36?

Go talk to your salesperson. They are much more motivated to give you a loaner than the service dept. They want your return business.

I have Business Link now, so not only do I get a loaner, I get a truck. I will be using it next week. My drivers side door seal is getting torn.

the only time I actually got a loaner was when my dakota was in the shop for the ball-joint recall. I had there loaner for nearly a week, but that is because they couldnt seem to fix the problem.

I had forgotten they have several levels of extended warranty so it may depend on if yours will cover it. I guess you will have to look at your coverage papers/book to see what level of warranty you have to see if it covers a rental/loner car or not.

which has been the truth for me also.

Sadly, They still try to get out from giving you a rental.!!! Atliest for me, They never want to give me the rental unless I ask for it, then they ***** about it, and FORCE me to get my extended warranty paperwork out.

Dodge will fight ya tooth and nail not to give ya that rental car.

ive had 4 rental cars so far though, each time I had to argue with staff to make them give me my rental :/

I had one rental car for 1 week!!!, probably total time in rental cars has been 2 weeks. Its fun beating the crap outta a rental.

Well, it pretty much went exactly like I expected. They drained out a little oil and blew off all the other issues I told them about. Their answers:

Cracked window isn't cracked, it's just scratched. Nevermind that the "scratch" is growing in size.

High idle is auto-enabled on the 06 autos. Asked them about the manual high idle via the cruise control and was told they can't do it. That ECM flash/software is no longer being used by DC (yeah, sure it isn't).

Couldn't increase tire size in the ECM up to 285's. According to them the stock 265 is the highest it will go.

As anyone can see, all of the above answers are completely ridiculous. I honestly don't think they even looked at any of those things. They are just totally useless. I'll enable my own features in the ECM and do an oil analysis myself. Only time I'll ever bring it back to the dealer is for something major. DC service sucks.

After I took delivery of my 2500 I drove about 300 miles on a 1200 mile trip and decided I better check the fluids just in case. The oil was a gallon overfilled by the delaer prep guy. Couldn't get a local small dealer to fix it. So, I found an Autozone and bought a cheap drain pan and torque wrench. I drained a little over a full gallon out in the parking lot. Had to put a quart back to be level. The store took the drain pan and oil and I was on my way. I was ripped. 75K miles later still runs like a clock.

Heck I have my local boys so scared of me that when the SM was gone all I said was I want a car for my wife by Noon or her car fixed and they gave her a 2007 Toyota with only 190 miles on it to drive. Oh and I did not show any warranty papers for her car when i took it in nor when I called to tell them what I wanted But then if and when they do something good I will throw them a bone and say yo did OK

You are supposed to FILL the oil filter with oil prior to putting it on...never put on a dry filter.
