It seems recently that I can hear a pronounced tick coming from the pass. side part of the engine compartment. My truck does not smoke at startup and has good power. I didn't know though if this could be a weak injector or possibly my valve lash needs to be adjusted. The engine at idle is rather loud compared to other 06's I've heard.

Mine has a very pronounced ticking noise also, which came with ~1000 miles on the clock. My buddy has the same truck and his does it too...I figured it was normal. Anybody have any ideas?

 

It's easy to eliminate the valves - check/adjust them. I did mine at 30k and they were very close - no more than a couple of .000" off. Craig
