Need some help with a fuel leak

Hey everyone. I have a fuel leak at what seems to be high on the engine toward the rear. I have not investigated precisely where at this point, but could use some help on the common locations. For some reason the search tool is not working for me.

The fuel is leaking off of the bellhousing of the NV5600, seems to be coming down the drivers side. I would say a drop every 30 seconds or so. The rail and injectors look dry to me, its almost like it is on the back of the head area? The truck is an 03 4X4 5.9l with NV5600 quad cab long box.

Any suggestions would be great. I need to get it fixed the way things are going it every drip will cost me a nickle or something with these prices.

Injector fuel return line comes off the back of the head. Follow the lines coming into the rail pressure relief back and you should find it.

Ok I cleaned it up this morning and it is the fuel return line. Should I attempt to tighten it up or once it leaks it needs to be replaced? Thanks for the help.

If it's already leaking, you're not going to hurt it by trying to tighten it. Just make sure your dealer has one in stock, or you're ok with waiting a few days if you break it.

well I reached back there and it was somewhat loose, turned pretty easily. Anyone know the torque for this banjo bolt? Maybe I will get lucky and it will solve the problem, although that dosent seem to be they way things ever go for me.

You may want to pull the bolt out and look at the washer, see if it's bad. It is a metal exterior with a rubber center.

thanks for all the help. It seems to have stopped for now. I am going to give it a few days and see if it stays that way. If not I will take it apart and see whats up. Thanks again.
