Question My first fuel filter change, is this normal?

I just changed the fuel filter for the first time at 14k miles. There were two small puddles of dark water in the bottom of the bowl and the filter paper was black, though not slimy. Every time I've opened the drain, I've never seen any water come out. The truck is running perfectly. Does this sound normal or do I have a problem with water and bacteria/ algee ?

My first filter change at 15K the filter was black. Now I change it every 10 to 12,000 miles. The filters have been coming out pretty clean since the first change. I also only drain the bowl when I'm changing the filter, no problems in 47,000 miles. I wouldn't worry about it.

Just a little dirt.Make sure every time you change the filter that you clean the bowl out.If you ever have an injector issue the dealer looks there first and any dirt there you are paying for repairs not the manf.
