2007 Stock Boost Pressure
2007 Stock Boost Pressure
I put in the PMT over the weekend. (This is NOT a high performance question) Before I downloaded I saw 24pounds. After I downloaded at stock, tow mode and performance mode and after cleaning my AEM Workhorse I only saw 23 pounds. I asked on the forum and I was told that it was low.
I went to the dealer and asked them what the norm is. (Not telling them that I have a programmer) He said that (the diesel tech) 23 pounds sounds normal. "Those forum guys are full of crap." and that 1800 deg. for egt's is safe?
A little help here please. What are people with 06-07 stock boost levels and egt temps pulling hills? BTW, I live in AZ so it is hotter here. Thanks.

Stock boost should go up to 32 lbs and then the wastegate should kick in. Egt's on pulling hills 1100-1300 degrees depending on air temp. and grade of the slope. If it goes above 1350 I downshift, but if I didnt it would definitely peg the pyro at 1500.
On your boost issue, Maybe you have a boost leak somewhere or a gauge issue. 1800 degrees is way too hot for any extended period of time.
