Louder When Cold

I have a questionon my 03
Just had 6 injectors replaced , went to the dealer with 2 bad it took the dealer 4 more to find out that the rail sensor was bad, And it only took them a month to to fix (Or did they).
Upon picking up the truck it had a rough idle when started. told the service rep about it and he said that the injecters had to be broke in? Drove the truck and the rattel was a lot more vocal then normal, and it rattels even between shifts. After she warms up the rattle is back to normal. It has now had over 500 miles since the injectors.
also the temp is running about 10deg. higher unloaded haven't pulled the camper since she's been back home. Is something not right or just over thinking
Thanks in advance,

John

I was a little disappointed at first when I had all 6 replaced too. I switched fuel filters to the Baldwin PF7977 and things slowly got better. How is fuel economy compared to before? Did they flash you ECM?

When I replaced mine idled pretty smooth(did just have engine re-built too) a little rattle but not that bad, you have to shut everyhing inside the cab off to hear. As for your temp, have you replaced the t-stat recently? Whats the actual temp running at now? My temps run at a little below 200* and rise a little higher then fall if i get into it but I think my temps are due to a weak tranny.

fuel milage has remained the same, what does the transmission being weak have to do with temp. and why would it start after injectors being replaced.

When the tranny is weak it puts the truck in more of a pull, and other variables to cause the temp to rise. I was just stating what my truck was doing, I didn't mean to imply that your tranny was going weak after replacing the injectors, sorry for that confusion. After they replaced the injectors though did they reflash the computer, most dealers skip that step.

Does this "rattle" sound like it's comming from in front of and under the glove box??? I had an engine swap on my 04.5 and it now clatters bigtime when cold and quieter when warm and also quiets when the accelerator is pushed 2/3rds of the way down, but is noisy when under normal acceleration.

Doesn't sound like it's under the dash. It does quiet down past 3/4 even if cold. could on of the injectors be leaking ??

If you rev it up in nuetral and it has a hard time idling down would be a good indication of a leaky injector. I will say this over time from when I had my injectors replaced the noise went away. Also have you found out if they did a reflash.

Also, when in neutral, it revs up for quite a long time before returning to idle after stabbing the throttle.
