Lift pump keeps running

03, factory filter mounted lift pump, all stock. Power still good no other problems. Turn the key on and the lift pump used to run a few seconds then shut down when pressure is built up. Now it just keeps running. Is it going out? Warranty is out in one month. I know the fix is the in tank pump if its bad for $100 co pay. Could get the power seat fixed also. Advice on the pump???

I have a spare new Geno's direct replacement on the shelf that I could put in myself. I hear the in tank units go a long time but when or if they go it's more work to replace them. If I have the in tank unit installed then my emergency on the road replacement is no good to me?

Could be the power supply/relay, and not the pump. Usually when the pump goes out fuel pressure suffers. What is your FP?

I don't know FP, no gauges. No power loss felt even pulling TT. How much is the power supply relay and is it hard to R&R?

Mine does the same thing. It runs for a while before it shuts down. It has done it ever since a reflash. Did it before I put my AirDog 100 on. If you let it run long enough, I beat it will shut down.

It sure sounds like the pump is fine, and that it is being commanded on. I would look at why the ECM is doing that now, when it previously was not.

You guys are the bomb. I just got the reflash a few weeks ago. I timed the LP with key on, eng not started. Yep, 40 sec and off she goes. I am sure it used to be shorter, but all is well and the factory filter mounted LP lives. Thanks to you all.

90k miles and my OEM LP still works. But--I wanted mine to fail before the warranty expired but it wouldn’t. I almost bought the spare OEM that you got from Geno's but decided on the Raptor that I will put in when I get reunited with my truck in Sept. because with all the posts about LP failure on our year truck it seems it is just a matter of time. Only reason I am worried is that I routinely wind up a long way (5000 miles or more) from home.
