Lift Pump
So I had my 03 in for service last Wednesday. In talking with the service manager, I bluntly asked him if I could expect that the lift pump is going to fail. He replied in the affirmative, and said that DC was on their 4th version of it!! He then went on to say that they had taken one apart and determined that it wasn't anything mechanical failing, but some little electrical brushes inside were what was causing all the problems. Tell tale signs that the pump is going to go are that the truck will start surging on you. If you can't get it to start, he suggested turning the key on and off a couple times while stepping lightly on the gas pedal. Other than that, when it goes, it goes. Whether you have 12,000 on the truck or 90,000.
That is the same thing my dealer told me! Just not turning on the key.......
Said my injector pump might be bad and to bring it in.....Well, I changed my fuel filter and it corrected the problem untill tonite....And now my truck is doing the same thing before....
I guess they will have it monday.

AB.. I grew up in Duffield. My pump crapped out @ 43,000km. I was right at the end of 627. Two hour wait for a tow truck. Then a 1 week wait.
I'm going with the Scotty Smart fuel system when I get the cash together.
