Talking I just picked up a 07 Diesel, How did i do?

Hey guys! I had a few 1st gens and loved this site for the help and support...
I just got a 07 big horn, 4x4, 5.9 diesel, 6 speed Manual with 155,000 Miles. Leveling kit installed.
I paid 15 K.. not bad right? I never had a newer diesel truck.. should i expect the truck to hold up as well as the 1st gens i had?

Drew

Price seems pretty dang good!
I bought an auto 07 SLT 4x4 with 82k miles and the loan value was $28k

Hopefully the fuel filters were changed OFTEN or hopefully it has an aftermarket lift pump with 2 micron filters... Injectors in these Common Rails is the worse problem they have, which leads to worse problems.

So keep good clean fuel in it!!

Congrats!

Sounds good. I'd go over it carefully, change all of the fluids so you know you have a base line.

Put some pics up!!

Congrats on the new truck! Looks good. Like already said, change all fluids to get a baseline and get extra fuel filtration soon as you can. For the mileage I wouldn't be surprised if injectors started demanding attention but I wouldn't worry about it until it comes up.

If you work it it will last. There are guys with over a million miles on these trucks that sent a letter to Cummins (hoping to get a badge or a plaque or something) and Cummins said, 'So what? They are built to go over a million miles!'

I know there are guys on this forum with over 600,000 miles on 2006 and 2007 trucks. I can tell you one thing, you have to work them to clean them out. They run A LOT better after a HARD tow.

looks great, would love to have a long bed on my truck,

short bed is just long enough to make you think you can haul something, but then you try to load it into the truck and it will not fit.

again, nice truck,

i have an 05 model and sure have enjoyed it 61K miles.

as other have said, you need to open it up once in a while and roll a bit of coal to keep it cleaned out.

change all fluids including coolant
be sure to check and use the proper coolant.
