Just picked up my NEW!!! truck

Just bought a new 03, 3500QC, Flame Red, SRW, 4X2 OH MAN!!!! What a truck can't wait to get the bed liner sprayed in and get the 5er hitch installed.

I have one question, the truck for some reason didn't come from the factory with the tow package, the owners manual indicated that the E-brake wiring for the trailer was already there, does anyone know if this is true I can't fine the plug by the E-brake pedal: confused:

Congradulations on the new truck. My 03 3500 drw also came without the factory tow package. Why they would not include a receiver hitch on a 3500 is a good question I think. I did have the factory hitch installed at the dealer and they had to run an additional harness and install the 7 pin plug in the bumper. The brake controller connector in the cab( on the front of the module near the emergency brake) was already installed at the factory but I still had to connect the blue brake control wire myself. This wire was part of the harness the dealer installed but they chose to leave the blue wire unterminated. I connected it by tapping into the factory harness from the plug in the truck, right behind the left front tire.

The blue plug on my truck was WAY in the back right at the firewall on the left side. It was a tough one to reach. My arms would not allow me to get in there. I was gonna get Rod in there but we would've lost him.

Megan managed to get back there and plug it in.

Congrats on the new truck! You will love it.

;D

Re:Just picked up my NEW!!! truck

Heads up! On mine we took an hour to find it. It was not where it usually is i.e. up under driver's side dash or at the firewall. We found the blue trailer plug hidden UNDER the driver's side floor carpet beneath the brake pedal. Factory said it wasn't supposed to be there. >
