The deler charged me 35.00 to program the high idle, that's ok they had to put another belt on my truck, 3rd one due to squeaking, been doing that since 3K and I have just under 20K. Warranty work, I told him that if it happens again my truck will be blocking the show room doors He respone was, well if i happens again we wll call DC and see what they a do. Personally I think it i the tensioner. alt already replaced at th first 3K then noise went away, then back again aroud 7K etc... Dealer acting like he is paying for it out of his own pocket if he has to replace tensioner and he wont have dinner. I dont know of any TSB's for my year truck covering the squeaking. Oh and if you tell me just use belt dressing NEW **** TRUCK!!! IF IT IS SQUEAKING THEN THRE IS VIBRATION!!! My luck I will be outside of warranty when the water pump fails Thank you.

 

DO NOT use BELT DRESSING on serpitine belts.Makes MORE noise and creates a mess in the pully grooves.

 

My local dealership did enabled my high idle for free.However,I had to explain to the service manager and service tech what this feature was.

 

My truck had the squeal when shut down that I thought was annoying. I replaced the belt with a goodyear gatorback with no more squeals. Has been good for 25k so far.
