Question Got me a CODE

P0514 Battery Temperature Sensor Performance / Rationality

Could this be from the cold weather around here as of late? I disconnected both batteries, but it's still there.

My truck threw the same code on the first cold day we had. Only threw it once. It happened within about two minutes of startup and getting on the freeway at 60 MPH. I think the computer got confused between the temp. of the battery and the cold temp. of the air. The truck had been in a garage for 10 hours before startup.

Sbishop-were you able to reset it/clear it? If so, how?

Mine has that code stored as well P0483 fan rationality test. That cold battery code was set at about 0, went away after several starts, came back at -5. And P0483 gets stored every time my Snow Plow is installed. They never trip the MIL, just get stored and go away! Don't worry about it, just drive it.
