Hi Guys. I got a Smarty off a guy I met, Got a delete pipe. (1bung Hole)
My truck is an 08 dually 6.7 in it.. The Smarty I got it the Smarty S67.. Do I need to Upgade this to the S67me? And on the Mads update site, where it shows all the various types of smartys , Do I click the S67 one or the S67me because I want to upgrade to that?
I tryed for hours last night to upgrade this thing. No Way I can get it to work.
I make a folder, download the smarty driver, the smarty USB file, I unzip the file. I then download the software, All of these I make folders for within the main smarty file.
I read the how to upgrade your smarty link on here with pictures and then read it again and again and I cant get it to work..
Do I need this Upgrade to do the delete on my truck? Does someone
live in Calgary with the download on their computer that could help me get it on my smarty?

has to have the ME version to shut dpf and egr off.

there are videos on MADS site to do the updates. just unzip it, open the smarty usb file, click open then find your smarty folder and click on the software and it takes about 30 minutes to update.

One of the first things to make sure, if you buy
a used smarty, is that it was set back to stock
on previous truck. If not it will be worthless.

 

not really. He can call Bob and ask for a overwrite program to start from a clean slate.
