fumoto valve ?
fumoto valve ?
for you guys with a fumoto valve. do you have any problems with dirt messing with it? i want one but i have to drive on muddy roads and i'm worryed that after a bit it wont work anymore. so how is yours holding up.
i have one and have zero issues with it getting dirty. mind you, i don't drive muddy roads too often . . .
when it rains i think it cleans it well. i installed mine so that the lever mechanism is facing backwards for less chance of catching something and messing it up. it took a few trial and error attempts with starting the threads in various directions, but was not a big issue at all.

I have never had any problems with mine. I'm off road a lot and never had mud problems or had it open. I think there is more of a chance the rad cap would open up than the Fumoto valve opening up.

I got a Fumoto as well. Draining oil directly into the empty gallon bottle is way too easy. Don't have to mess around with a catch pan. I only drip oil fumbling with the old filter.
