fumoto oil drain valve mod??

fumoto oil drain valve mod??
did a search and found some posts that stated a quart of oil is left in the pan from how high the valve sits inside the pan. there was a link to show how to fix this- but it did not work.anybody know what i am talking about. know how to fix this? thnaks

I noticed the same thing. no matter how long I let it drain,when I put the correct amount of oil in I noticed that it read pretty close to a qt. over.At first I thought I did something wrong.Guess we may have to hold back a qt. and see how that works. Just hate leaving the old stuff in there.

I have a fumotovalve on mine. When I change the oil, I drain it out and add back exactly 3 gallons of oil, which is including priming the oil filter. It is right at the top of the hash marks on the dip stick. I am very happy with the valve. Sure is a lot better than having an uncontrollable "Niagara Falls" of Oil with the old drain plug.
