front brake life/upgardes??

my truck only has 25k on it and the front pads have under 10% left, my friends ford has 80k some life left, my truck is an 07, with an exhaust brake that gets used, shouldnt the stock pads last a little longer? what do you guys upgrade to? is anybody making bigger front brake packages for these trucks yet? ever since i put 37's on a couple weeks ago it doesnt stop nearly as good...

Wow that seems way early! My rears wore long before my fronts. I installed this kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...172265688&rd=1 after going with the 22.5 conversion. They's not bigger, but they are at least drilled and slotted. I noticed a little more stopping power, but nothing substantial.

stick with the stock ones. I put 22's on 35's tall tires and wore the fronts up at around 35,000miles. i changed them and it seems like the second set is holding up better then before. The drilled/ slotted arnt going to help, and the other companies armt impressive either.

Chezz! These trucks are known for LONNNNNG brake life.I got friends with 150k on orignal pads.Lots of posts of 50k plus easily on factory pads.First I'd see if there is a mech.issue or a drivers issue with brakes.Where factory tires slim also? Fill out your signature/profile so we ALL know what your driving, mods etc. If balance is low some credit card numbers also.

The reason I asked is a lot of times worn brakes and worn tires go hand in hand.Lots of these factory tires go many many miles also.So now we know its not a truck or mech.brake system issue probably. Its a DRIVER issue.Slide same new pads in for now(factory) and be done for now.
