Engine Code
I got an p0514 this morning. I see that it is a battery temp sensor. Any ideas as to why this will pop up, and should I care? It was 35 degrees this morning, so no big deal there. thanks
dodgezilla04,
Did you ever find out what caused the code? or even the fix action? I just checked my codes today before taking it in to the dealership to have my fan clutch replaced (code P0480, the second time) and I saw the P0514 code.

Mine has been throwing that code on and off for about 3 weeks. Just about the time I get ticked off enough to worry about it, it cycles off. Seems like as it gets colder the light is coming on. I'd like to know if there have been any fixes that have worked.

I had the code as well one morning. I reset it and it did not reoccur. I think it was just a blip and nothing to concern myself with.

Mine reset all by itself after a few drive cycles. It is an idiot code, the computer is confused about something, nothing to worry about. Just a nuisance. give it a few days.
when you turn the key to ON, the computer checks water temp, ambient air temp, and battery temp. If there is a certain percentage difference, it throws this code. Good luck
