What about the TBN, nitration, oxidation, or soot? What lab did the testing? Wear metals look low, and the air filter is doing a good job.. You also didn't list what year/model truck you have..

The oil was in service from 11-17 03 to 6-23 04
I didnt get the tbn tested this time ,the tbn test is an extra 10.00.
I am shooting for 12 to 14 k or once a year changes. The next sample i will run out to 10k or so and at that time i will get the tbn tested. The truck is an 03 4x4 quad cab 6 speed. I was trying to post the whole report ,I have a scanner but not much computer savy yet. I have a friend who has a 96 cummins and he has well over 200k and runs the delvac 1 20k between changes. Hes never had an uoa done either. I am more cautious.

Spud, TBN is probably the number one determining factor in a 3rd gen truck as far as oil drain is concerned. I'd shop around, it's not hard to find an oil analysis including tbn for 14-16 bux.. . Looks good though, and a great choice in oil. Just in case you didn't notice the threads, Mobil is now relabeling Delvac 1 and selling it all over the place, mostly wal-mart stores so far. It's called Mobil 1 Truck and SUV.

I get it from a mobil distributor here local. I pay just under 100 dollars with sales tax for 4 gallons. I have seen it at truck stops for 29.00 a gallon. You can buy it on line store.avlube.com/fonfacsizcol.html for 83.99 plus shipping comes out to just under 100 a case.

Thanks spud,

I've been trying to get syn but can only find Rotella. The Advanced Autoparts guy is researching Premium Blue Extreme. I'll check out your resource. I think I'll go one more dino then swith. Have 12K so far.

Delvac 1 is now widely available - almost every walmart has it now, although it hasn't reached some stores yet. It's called Mobil 1 Truck&SUV. It is relabeled Delvac 1 5w40, mobil confirmed this to me and many others over the phone. Anyway its 4.77 a quart at wal-mart.
