My warranty was voided because of my edge sticker in the back window and trailer hitch was bent. They said I was obviously towing to heavy with the edge product? First they told me they would warranty in then tore the motor down and voided it and stuck be with the bill and threw all the pieces into the bed of the truck. Every time I go buy that dealer I cloud out thier pasrking lot.

Many big trucks run autos also firetrucks charter buses etc. They do fine usually with the amount of power they were intended to handle and proper maintenance. If you put to much power behind any thing you can break it.

Overlly agressive driving with stock is gonna get things broke also. If you gonna play, you gotta pay. I have had to live by that addage for ever. Never had a daddy/warranty to take care of my miss guided adventures.

It sounds to me that you are not denying the damage is a result of the added power by the programmer IMHO.
Now to those that believe that no upgrades are necessary. I disagree strongly. Anyone towing without at least an EGT guage is a fool in my opinion! Anyone running a programmer at any power level above stock is risking catastrophic failures of driveline or fuel system and should own up to those failures. We all have trouble making legit warranty claims because of the less than honest folks making warranty claims for damage caused by their own mods, and trying to hide the cause.

Note:
I have the BullyDog Outlook Monitor and it adds nothing by itself, but the ability to monitor things like EGT and boost, and defuel at a temp of your choosing. Personally, I have been running with no Triple Dog program for more than a year. I have been using the monitor as a set of guages to monitor EGT, boost, and rail pressure while towing. So it is POSSIBLE for someone to use the Outlook for monitoring only.
Cheers
Mike

I hope you never need it, but good luck if you do. Those things are notorious for weasel wording. Better to put the money in the bank and be self insured for what the real warranty doesn't cover.

A good friend of mine was a lobbyist (hate to admit that) for one of the biggest automotive after market warranty firms in the country. The owner got very rich off of that business. My friend's main focus was opposing consumer protection laws that would apply to those types of "warranties."

If they voided it after teardown (assuming they pulled the head..), I could understand. They likely saw the distincitive signature of overfueling on the pistons. You can't hide that.
