Cold Weather Question
I don't know if my truck is equipped with it or not, but how can I find out if my truck has the heater on it that I can plug in this winter when it gets cold. If it does have one, does anyone have any ideas where Dodge hides it, you know for easy access?
I expect the weather to get down around 10 F and figure I will need to plug it in to keep it warm.
I looked around the engine compartment this weekend but had no luck finding anything. I traced just about every wire I saw that could be it.
Thanks for your help.

The connection is to the left of the oil filter on the block. It will have a cap that unscrews that you need to take off to expose the connection. The cords are not cheap if you buy them from a dealer.I paid $13 and change at a Cummins shop. You can get them online also.

I put mine on Saturday, had it on the timer this morning, hopped in and the heater was already luke warm. Its easy to get the plug on, just a pain to route it. Its a rounder cad finish deal with a black plastic threaded cap on it.

Its easy to install. Not sure about the cord Cummins gives you but the high dollar one I bought from the dealer has rubber stops on it that line up with holes in the frame. Routed it up to front with no prob. I then brought it up through the tow hook on passenger side and flex tied it there. Hated having to open the hood to unplug in the morning.
I should have read more on this site last year and I would have saved myself some $$$.

Cord Location
When I got my 06 the salesman told me it did not have a heater cord. While washing it guess what I found? If you look just to the left of center near the bumper bracket you may find it tucked away. It is black like the frame so a bit hard to find. Check B4 you spend.
