Question I'm Back.....Cold Weather Question???

I got back from vacation today, had great time!

I have a question, concern that I noticed while traveling in the colder weather. Truck ran great, never missed a beat. My concern, question is, I noticed when going down this 8% grade, curvy road, winter front on, high 20-30s, the EGTs would drop to 100 deg.

Whats your guys thoughts on this?

Tye

I know mine drop but not that low. My probes in both trucks are pre turbo. I suppose a really long grade would cool it down quite a bit..

I forgot to mention, I had it in 3rd to keep my speed down so I wasn't riding the brakes down. It was a good 3-4 mile down slope.

My auto does that too. Even the engine temp will go way down.
