I presume you have a level kit?

Still scary to me.

Truck is stock. I still worry and I'm aware that the valve is there. I guess an upside is it keeps me in check as far as where and how I try to drive

I got the stock plug in the tool box in case I get spooked and decide to go back. For now its ok.

Interesting, your profile looks like mine and my dads with the level kits. Must be the photo.

Yea my truck doesn't seem to sit that high. I was just under it working on it today and mine seems to have the pan more even with the axle.

I would say you have a 2" level kit. Here is mine with my level kit. Same profile as yours.

Now that you asked I'm curious too. I always assumed it was stock. I bought the truck last February. I ran out and took pics. It might very well have a kit on it. I'm not familiar with coil spring kits. I know how they lift, just that I never saw parts in person (came from Chevy IFS). I don't know what I'm looking at

Probably why the 285/70s looked "regular" on the truck lol

Thanks Shorts,
Looks like the "threaded" part I was looking at is the "nut" used to get the valve into the pan. I thought that section might back the nipple out.
looks good. thanks much !

Buried my truck in the field, both pigs dug into the ground. Thought I was gonna bury the tractor to before i got it out. The pigs dug trenches for 20-30 feet before they cleared the ground. My Futomo valve w/nipple was just fine.
Not saying they couldn't be torn off, but they aren't exactly fragile either. could put a rock thru the pan or something too I guess.. Only for sure way to keep it safe is lock it in the garage. my truck never sees the garage

I have a fumoto with the nipple on all my trucks and I love it. I'm a little paranoid about the fact that it hangs down but I've never heard of anyone having trouble. That being said, if I used my rig as a mudder I wouldn't have one.

There are two big things I would be worried about with that valve... Flying retreads on the highway ( I have seen them more than once where they separate right in front of you and there aint a thing you can do.. luckily I always seem to be in a rental car lol), but that speed and the mass of rubber would grab that lip and that could be all she wrote, where stock it would probably just glance off the bottom. And rocks/sticks that are everywhere on all the FS roads I drive.. Now that would be greatly lessened with the level kit, but still not completely.
