Question Boost question on an 06

I installed my gauges this weekend and im concerned about the boost pressures im getting. When I stand on it all the way to 3K, I cant seem to get over 22-24. When just rolling down the road empty at 55 and 1500 rpm, its only reading about 4-6. Is this normal? Im running a stock turbo also. If this isnt normal, is there something in perticular that i need to investigate as to why my boost is low? The turbo spools up fine, it just doesnt seem to be showing it.

You have an electronic wastegate on your truck's turbo. At around 30-32PSI, it automatically defuels the engine, drops your boost down in the low to mid 20s, then slowly lets it build back up. The boost fooler will allow you to see around 38 constant and spikes near the low to mid 40s. If you were to hit boost levels that high without a fooler, your truck would start throwing over boost codes and ultimately end up in limp mode. Hope that answered your question.

Man with the TST turned off i can see 35-37lbs depending on how i run it! Turn the TST on and i can hit 40psi no problem, not that that is a good thing but i can hit it! I have the boost set to 38psi.

I'm new to DTR and I've come across the ads for the electronic boost foolers (Quadzilla, etc.) as well as the modified brass elbow with an adjustable set screw, and was wondering if they are both required to fool the system, or does the third generation CTD only need the electronic fooler?

Finally, who is Larry Ellis and why are you buying his fooler?

Thanks,

EDR
