In response to AH64ID the temp the day I went out to wash my truck was upper 30's. I know....go ahead and and tell me how bored I must have been that morning to go out and wash the truck in those temps . I try and wash it once a week unless I know it's gonna be raining. If I leave it plugged in overnight the head is almost HOT to the touch. The block is also quite warm. My motto is....If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It.....Just Modify It And Make It Better!!!! As for now, my block heater is rockin along pretty good so I think I'll just leave it be.

My gen 2 block heater was much louder. The gen 3 still makes the noise, but you just gotta listen closer for it.
