Block Heater not working

I pluged my heater in the other night and when I got up that morning to leave nothing had happened. Any Suggestions.

Define nothing?

Only thing you'd notice is the "wait to start light" not staying on as long as if you didn't plug in.
Maybe a little faster crank over speed, and it will get up to operating temperature slightly faster with plugging in.

The wait to start light stayed on like i didn't even plug it up, and it took just as long to get to operating temp. as if I didn't plug it up.

Most likely the cord is bad right at the plug. You can replace just the plug end from one from a hardware store...

Cords seems to last only about 7 years. Depending on how many times you drive off with it still plugged in.

They make a sound like an old coffee perculator. Does yours do this?

Check your coolant level, could be low. Mines makes no sound.

That;s what mine sounds like too. Radiator is full, and overflow is up to full mark. It's made that sound since new, but only for about the first 10-20 minutes from cold.
You can even just grab the upper radiator hose....it should feel warm after a couple hours depending on outside air temp....after overnight, definitly should be warm.
Do you have power to the outlet you're plugging in at? Had to ask...
