I recently bought some Baldwin fuel filters for myself and for my uncle. Mine is an 06 which takes the PF7977. My uncles took the PF7777, this filter replaces PF7654 for trucks built prior to 07/02. His was built in feb 02. My price with company discount was only $5.07 a piece for mine and $4.93 for his. Quite a bit of mark up.

With that said why won't Fleetguard make a 5 micron drop in filter that Bosch recommends for the CR?
I'll stick with the Baldwins.

The 4 Baldwin filters listed in the Fleetguard notice are not the 5 micron filters indicated in this thread. The notice indicates 20 micron filters. Perhaps that's why they didn't pass.

didn't mean to cause a ruckus about the filter Just wanted to point it out. Like I said... I'm sure many filters are just fine. They don't have to be made by Cummins to work :-)
