Another Tranny Problem

Today I was driving and tranny jumped out of gear and right back in, parked it an hour later got back in to go home drove for about 250' and did it again but wouldn't go back into gear. I had nothing reverse, dr, 1st, or 2nd like it was in N. Shut off engine started it back up and had gears but was making a sound like a pump starving for oil then no gears. Noise stopped and everytime you shut it off and start it back up I had gears for about 100' then like it popped into N. Couple weeks ago I had to replace Gov. pressure solenoid and sensor and has been working great. Any ideas

Maybe you forgot to tighten something back up properly when you were in there. First thing I would do is pull the pan back off and check everything that I touched previously...

The oil is good. Just dropped the pan and nothing is visually wrong. Filter was on and tight, all screws and bolts are still there. Someone I know mentioned the overdrive snapring, but that doesn't make any sense to me considering if I turn off the engine and restart it will move for a little bit. Seems more electronic than mechanical to me, but I'm far from a mechanic!

I have seen that if the fluid level is low.
Are you checking it with it running, in neutral and warm? And of course on level ground? If you still have a stock pan on it, bring the level up to the top of the hash marks. If it is at the bottom, SOME will get air in them.

Blown!

Just got a call from the shop, blown tranny. Only 30,000 on last rebuild, think I got scammed.
