Air Pressure

What air pressure are you guys running in your rubbers? I have Nitto Terra Grappler 295/70/17. Running 50 psi and they feel a little soft. Thinking about increasing to 60 psi in the fronts.

I ran 70lbs in my stock tires. I'm running Cooper Discoverer STT's now, and they are a max 65lb tire. I run at max pressure. You'll see a NOTICEABLE increase in fuel mileage and handling if you air them up.

Depends on the load rating...

Right now I have some D rated Toyos, 50psi

On the stock E rated 265s, I ran 70psi up front, 65psi out back....

Fronts at 50psi Rears at 70psi. When towing I bump them all up to 110psi.

Haha! Had you guys for a moment..... I have 19.5's with G or H rated Hankooks.

Tires are BFG Rugged TRail (came on truck). They say 80 PSI cold max. Thats where I run the front, and 75 in the rear. Picked up 2 MPG from the 50 they had in them when I bought the truck.

Thanks guys. I'm probably gonna bump up to 60 psi for a while and try it. My tire place only put 30 psi in when I got the rims/tires... was like driving a sponge.

50 empty rides better, but 60 gives a noticeable improvement in mpg. when towing, I bump up to 70.

Heck, I've driven a truck my whole life, so 80 feels fine to me.
