Charge Air Cooler( Air to air)

Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best place to buy a good econonomical charge air cooler. Mine is , Old I guess & leaking. Can they be repaied? Is just getting one from dodge the best way to go, or are there any after market ones? I just realized some people call this an inter cooler, just so you guys know what I am looking for. Thanks for any advice.

Hey Bighead...

Might want to check e-bay:
IC at EBAY

Looks like its going to run you a few hundred bones for that baby.

You might check out a radiator shop and see if they can braze it for you. I'm not sure what kind of leak you got but it might not be fixable. Worth a try though - its gotta come out anyway.

depending on where it is leaking it could be repaired, providing it has never been jb welded or glued over.

If youre going to replace it, an aftermarket intercooler is definetly worth looking into.

Thats next on my list! Easy to replace and will net you more HP per PSI.

I bought one from a local guy in my town....but if you are expecting big gains you are gonna be dissappointed, lower egts...a little bit, more power, well it would take a dyno to tell. it was nothing amazing for sure.

if you have a welder in your area that can tig weld you will prolly save a ton by usuing your stock one.
