Air filter

Is it me, or do these 3rd gens go through alot of air filters? 41k and 5 filters is that normal. I'm not talking about just a little dirty either. My old 97 went through 6 filters its entire life (200k). I'm not complaining, I guess these trucks suck some air.

Yep, these 3rd gens sucks some air. Amsoil has a dry nano fiber filter thats good for 100k. Just blow it out every once in a while with compressed air.

Like MikeyB stated, I went from stock filter to Airraid to Amsoil dropin on mine and am very pleased with the performance of the Amsoil.
