7 micron hard on lp?

Does anyone feel that the additional restriction created by the 7 micron fuel filters places a strain on the LP?

Good question. I just installed my last 10 micron and I'm going to order a few of the new 7 micron. I don't want to get stranded with a dead lift pump. I could install a FASS or GDP pump, but I have a lot of warranty left and I don't want to void it, especially with all the injector issues. So what do ya do?

Personally, I think 7 micron is less of a restriction. Smaller holes but many more of them.

compare the flow rate, that should say something

When I changed from 10 Micron to 7 Micron I didn't see any fuel pressure change after the filter. Dosen't say much for the volume but you would think pressure would give you a tell, tell sign of an added restriction.

I did not see any fuel pressure change when I went to the 7-micron either. I did not see any change when I installed the GDP 2-micron. I also installed the big line kit with the 2-micron setup and since fuel pressure IS about volume I did not expect a change. The 7-micron does have a better flow rate and the 2-micron is in the same range.

Well, I can tell you if I still had my stock pump, I'd have been stranded already. I hadn't used an additive for awhile and it dropped in the single digits for a couple days... My 20-25psi became 2psi. If it wasn't for the power of the EFI pump, and if I had my stocker, I know it wouldn't have been able to push thru the gelling I was seeing. Just a thought...

Here it is, I just installed mine last night. It took me 2.5 hrs and I wasn't in a hurry. Fuel pressure still looks good, I'm guessing I have lost 1-2 lbs.

It's a very nice setup, it goes between the stock 7 micron filter housing and the Cp3.

I'm saving for the Walbro kit!
