Your gonna want to have everything cleaned out for sure or else you will loose the stocker. This is exactly why I upgraded my tranny. MY TC slipped 3 or 4 times like this on a grade towing. Each time it did it I immediately back out of the throttle. It was when I was going 55-60 MPH. I haven't had any issues since then, knock on wood. I also splurged and bought the Liftime Warranty TC from Dave at Goerend. IF it every lets go he will rebuild it and clean the VB for free. Sorry for your bad luck.


Edited: Oh yeah, you need more line pressure, that helps with this issue, upgrade the VB if you haven't done it yet.

 

The tranny I bought from the wrecked truck was a bd tranny with billet shafts, it had the good bd valve body in it so that should not be a problem.

 

After a thorough cleaning of the valve body and everything else, flushing out the cooler and heat exhanger, changed out my new triple disc for a precision tc, and problem solved. The new tc I bought is rated 500+ hp (which my truck is nowhere close) billet, but a single disc with torrington bearings, I got a 12 month warranty unlimited miles for $412. I tow a 48 ft enclosed and have about 400 miles on it with it behind it and so far I really like it. Thanks for everyones help
