#4 injector HP fuel line
Just wondering if anyone has had any more problems after having the #4 injector HP fuel line replaced ?
Mine was done at 45K. 56K now and no problems.
Is this a permanent fix?

I think mine was replaced at about 40K, now at 93K no problems yet.
Wood the #4 line is prone to cracking and spewing fuel around the engine compartment which unfortunately will leave you needing a tow to the dealer.

Great!.... Did it just blow out on you guys or are there signs? I had to replace my #6 injector last week and I was inspecting my rail and line fittings to make sure everything was snug, but wasn't looking for cracks.

Must be permanent fix as no one has commented on this problem in quit awhile.
Can any one explain how to relieve the high pressure on these fuel lines so they can be replaced without being dangerous??

I don't think the pressure stays high after shut down. I am not sure about this, but I know a few people who have done injector swaps / upgrades who have never mentioned a warning about dis-assembly and left over pressure. These people would have mentioned it for sure.
The pressure drops to a reasonable level at shutdown. Replacement is as straightforward as it looks. I replaced mine before it broke because there were so many threads here describing the replacement lines like they were a different alloy. That does appear to be the case to me, too.
I carry the OEM as a spare.

Get the part at a Cummins dealer, mine was $ 23.11 with tax, local Dodge dealer wanted $ 68 !!!
Very simple and easy repair, it takes about 10 minutes, 3/4" for the line and 10mm for the clamp down.
